Breast-firming (Mastopexy)

Sagging breasts can be a result of pregnancy, breastfeeding simply a result of the natural aging-process. With the progressive loss of skin elasticity, the breast loses its elasticity and starts to droop.

Who is an acceptable candidate for breast-firming?
Breast-firming is especially suitable for woman with small breasts which are sagging. 

It is possible to lift every size of breasts but in case of small breasts the result will be more remarkable and durable. If you have larger breasts, it sometimes makes sense to arrange a lifting combination with breast-downsizing-surgery. If the breasts have less volume, we recommend breast implants or utilizing  your own body fat to get a better result.

The consultation on breast-firming
At first we will talk about your wishes and possible objections. A detailed breast-examination follows, then we will take some photos to explain the  surgical intervention steps. The most appropriate type of surgery will be discussed, as well as possible limitations and risks. 

The breast-firming-surgery
Breast-firming is normally undertaken under general anaesthesia. The techniques used depend on your individual anatomy.

In most cases a cut in the skin along the nipple is made, the unwanted skin will be removed and the nipple will be lifted up. Afterwards the breast is located in a higher position and feels more comfortable.

Modern seam technology has various options to make scars disappear. In cases of very small distended breasts it could be possible to choose a method that will work with tiny little cuts at the end of the nipple atrium.

After the breast-firming
After the surgery, the breasts will be supported by a trimmed tape which will be changed after a few days and should be worn for four weeks. A small bulge is possible, but dissappears after a few weeks. Some stitches will be removed after 7 days, others after 14 days. You should anticipate with two weeks of rest and recovery and reduce your sports activities!

The result
Extraordinary aesthetic results can be achieved. The original scars will dissapear after a few months.

The result of a breast-firming procedure will not last your whole life. Gravity, pregnancies, fluctuations in your weight and the natural aging-process will have an impact.
